i’ve been a fan of him ever since i found his videos back in 2009. to see him grow as a dancer, its just remarkably amazing. his movements, his flow, this dance is perfect for his story. “The Distance” refers to the difference/changes of him now and then and how he get to where he is now.

Forgive my ignorance but I've always wondered...how exactly does a music producer that doesn't have a famous label make money? What exactly do you have to do in order to get a solid income? I'm not having a go at you or anyone I'm honestly curious because I have no idea about that sort of industry. Thanks

Well first - producers aren’t usually “SIGNED to FAMOUS LABELS”. We are usually hired by labels / artists to record their music in a professional studio. WIth the industry being in such a bad state - I offer artists (most of the time indie) an affordable rate - and this is how I get most of my work. As opposed to “big name” producers who charge an arm and a leg for one song. Not everyone has $50,000 to spend on a recording that people will care about for two seconds. And to be honest - Some of the best recordings have happened on the worst sounding machines / or odd recording spaces. Ex: Gotye (watch his documentary.. AMAZING)

Being a producer is “easy” nowadays. (that title gets thrown around so easily) And everyone can make quality recordings with an mbox and a single mic — But it’s my job to bring the best out of people / artists and capture things they can’t do on their own. Not everyone can do that, and I take pride in what I do.

Finally got my own place to show for it.
