Anonymous asked: I have noticed that with a lot of your originals such as tangled up, it seems as though it's hard to hear the clarity of your voice,as I feel it gets blended in too much with the instrumental. Not sure if this is the term, but I guess you can say there isn't as much dynamic range between the different instrument tracks and the vocal. Is that an artistic choice of yours? Because I feel your tunes would sound a lot better if you let your voice shine just a little more. It is really one of a kind!
All people are different when it comes to where the prefer vocals in a mix. It’s sort of how people prefer their meat, or food cooked a certain way. To me if a vocal is too far out of a mix it turns out to sound like a karaoke track to my ears and just doesn’t sound good to me. I had mixed my vocals pretty darn high in all of my previous records so this is a bit confusing to me.
